Description

The presentation would address the various aspects of representing a client in the legislative and/or policy-making process. Topics covered would include: 1. Representation of the property appraiser in the legislative and executive branches of state government. 2. Preparing legislative concepts and proposals to accomplish positive changes to the taxing structure. 3. Defending against "bad bills". 4. Representation of the property appraiser at the state oversight agency, including rule-making activities. 5. Communication with the media outlets. 6. Professionalism and ethics in lobbying activities.
