Description
Most countries in the world are working towards modernizing their land administration systems – cadastre, national mapping, and valuation. Ongoing challenges include— keeping authoritative land information current, complete, accurate, and secure while providing access to data across multiple networks to multiple stakeholders. Legacy technology puts up barriers that inhibit access to data across ministries, departments, and municipal and national offices. Complex, highly customized workflows can be cumbersome, inefficient, and costly to maintain. Hard coded, custom systems are very costly to maintain, update, and sustain and are vulnerable to security breaches. Leveraging the cloud, webGIS, mobile devices, global standards and best practices, this session will provide attendees with an understanding of how to improve and implement new land administration capabilities quickly and easily. All conference attendees are welcome. An interactive discussion is expected.
