Brief Session Description
In smaller, rural counties the cost approach is relied upon heavily to value commercial properties, however, it can be difficult to estimate depreciation when very few sales exist. Two bordering counties in Kansas made the decision to pool their resources and conduct a regional depreciation analysis using local and statewide sales to completely reconfigure their depreciation tables and take a whole new look at the process.
