Esri Canada CAMA to Geographic Assisted Mass Appraisal "GAMA"
Brief Session Description
This session will describe the current state and conditions with the design, implementation and use of CAMA systems. The highlight of the presentation will discuss the new reality in the industry today in the adoption of Geographic Assisted Mass Appraisal (GAMA) systems. The presentation will provide an overview of the capabilities of a GAMA system and the pathway (geo-enablement) to get there. The new state of databases for Assessment Jurisdictions exploit the use of “location” and spatial reference for appraisers and assessors. An explanation of this new state will show how this migration to GAMA and geo-enablement will assist them in better analyzing the impact of location in their valuations and better prepare them for inquiries, objections and assessment roll defense.
