Brief Session Description

Many state governments in Nigeria are laying the ground work to enact a modern property tax assessment for their communities. For some states, the starting point has been to modernize their cadastre and land registry technology and processes. For the more than eight years, Thomson Reuters has supported Nigerian state governments with their modernization efforts. This presentation will share progress made to date to lay the foundation for scalable, sustainable and secure property tax assessment; and share insights into next step efforts needed to further train and build capacity in-country in Nigeria.
