2019 IAAO Annual Legal Seminar

When accuracy is at stake

Presenter Information

Robert Grimaldi Esq.
Rick Singh

Start Date

6-12-2019 10:45 AM

End Date

6-12-2019 11:45 AM

Description

Under the leadership of Rick Singh, CFA, the Orange County Property Appraiser’s office (OCPA), has been required to heavily invest in legal fees for the defense of property values. Challenged by some of Orange County’s most high-profile property owners, such an investment has been in the best interests of serving the taxpayers of Orange County, other county property appraiser’s offices, and the appraisal community. While the amount spent on the defense of value in Orange County may initially seem high, the market values that the property appraiser’s office seeks to protect will yield a far greater amount in terms of tax dollars to support our local schools, the county at-large, and the services provided by the county and local municipalities.
