Across the nation, property tax challenges by big box and drugstore properties are presenting interesting challenges. In many cases, assessors are unsuccessful because of either failure to identify and present the correct issues to the court. In these cases, the issues are many and varied and to be successful, the attorney must put together a precise and well-thought out strategy. This presentation will cover every aspect of big box/drugstore litigation, from formulating the correct appraisal and legal strategies through discovery and deposition tips and trial advice. The presenter successfully defended a significant case with the CVS drugstore chain and will present the specific legal and appraisal strategies that won that case.
