Description
In juggling a lawyer’s duties, we are guided by the principle that whether representing governmental entities, private entities, or individuals, we are officers of the legal system and have a special responsibility for the quality of justice. The government lawyer has the additional duty to act in the best interest of the public welfare. The most commonly known rules for attorneys which impact their course of conduct are the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure. Many of these rules set out the guidelines for an attorney in the practice of law.
