Description
This paper describes the national Danish computer system for appeal management. For the valuation in 1986 the support of the appeal management system reduced the time to process approximately 90,000 appeals from 2 years to 1 year. The time for processing is expected to be further reduced to 1/2 year. It also describes how the appeal system is integrated into other computer systems used in the valuation administration and how the appeal system produces valuable statistics about the appeals and the changes of the values made due to the appeals.
