Brief Abstract
Integrating GIS and CAMA systems delivers valuable benefits. Most assessors have GIS in their offices but many little time to explore its numerous capabilities to support valuation, parcel management and public engagement. This session will begin with an introduction to GIS starting from its beginning to what it has evolved into today, an ecosystem for managing, analyzing, visualizing and sharing data. Attendees will learn how to understand values, detect outliers and visualize results. This session will discuss the range of capabilities beginning with integrating with CAMA and creating simple web maps to in-depth spatial analysis, modeling and leveraging external and open data sets, and sharing data with the public. This session is for beginners and advanced users alike.
