Brief Session Description

In the summer of 2017, the Chicago Tribune and ProPublica published a series of articles titled The Tax Divide detailing a wide array of failures at the Cook County Assessors Offices. After defeating the incumbent assessor the following spring, Fritz Kaegi promised a sweeping reform agenda. In this session, we will outline that agenda, and the progress Assessor Kaegi has made in fulfilling his promise of fair, transparent, ethical assessments.
