Brief Session Description
The presenters will explore both property taxpayer and property tax assessor/administrator perspectives on property tax policy and administration. Included will be a review and critique of criteria developed in a 2019 Property Tax Administration Scorecard by COST and IPTI to “grade” the states and other nations with respect to what constitutes good property tax administrative practices. A review and comparison with the some of the IAAO’s Property Tax Policies and Administrative Practices will also be made.
