Garbage In, Garbage Out: Implications of Data Quality for Valuation Models
Brief Session Description
Using before and after property data from the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office Desktop Review program, this session will explore how data quality affects valuation models. In addition to exploring impacts on measures of goodness of fit and measures of variable importance and reliability, analysis on predicted values will also be shared to further discuss how data quality impacts an assessor’s goal of producing fair and equitable valuations.
