Presentation Title
Brief Session Description
Most professionals look forward to retirement however, the loss of a job can be difficult especially if you have worked for the majority of your lifetime. We get so busy with our work life, work families and daily routines that we start looking forward to the days of retirement, rest and relaxation that we do not really see the big picture of life after work. They say that a job actually provides mental health benefits such as feelings of appreciation, satisfaction of learning new things, and relationships with fellow workers. It also provides us with a daily routine so there is no question about “What do I do next”?
“What do I do next” is the big question while planning for retirement to know the process and it is also the big question after retirement. You are in a routine and have worked the last 30 years and now you ask yourself “What do I do next” because you no longer have the routine of work, no deadlines, no time clocks.
This presentation will focus on planning, preparing and provide the key to a positive retirement to ensure that you maintain those same mental health benefits you received from having a job but learn how to experience them in a different way.
