Before Porter Ranch became a popular place to live, the Aliso Canyon Gas Storage Facility was an oil and natural gas field. This session will provide a brief history and description of the natural gas field, the history of Porter Ranch, and how the two became intertwined after a gas well began leaking uncontrollably. Value impacts and dealing with a distraught public will be highlighted.
