Abstract
This article proposes methods for computing the confidence interval for both the median and COD that incorporate stratification and demonstrate good performance in a variety of settings. The asymmetric overall median confidence interval (SAME) appears to be the preferred method because of its narrower width and greater coverage. Its observed coverage is very close to the nominal coverage in all scenarios considered. The overall COD confidence interval we propose (the Bonett-Seier stratified method) yields narrower confidence intervals than traditional methods. The Bonett-Seier stratified method demonstrates much better coverage in situations in which stratification is necessary, compared to methods that ignore stratification.
