Abstract
The information in this article is adapted from “Recent Developments in Real Property Taxation: Substantive” which was presented at the International Association of Assessing Officers’ 26th Annual Legal Seminar held December 8 and 9, 2005, in Chicago, Illinois. The material will be presented in two parts. In this issue, court decisions and legislation impacting valuation practices for specific property types will be discussed. In part 2, the discussion turns to such subject areas as condemnation, exemptions, and valuation methods.
