Staffing and costs in organizations conducting mass appraisal of real estate in the Netherlands: a comparative study

Abstract

This study presents a comparison between patterns of staffing and costs in assessment offices in the United States and Canada and in similar organizations in the Netherlands. The comparison is based on the results of an annual survey conducted over the past 15 years by the Netherlands Council for Real Estate Assessment on the staffing and costs related to mass appraisal activities in Dutch assessment organizations and a similar survey under taken in 2013 by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) for the United States and Canada.
