The session with provide an overview of the Los Angeles County Assessor’s organization and the roll the California Board of Equalization plays in certification. A description of how the Appraiser Trainee Certification Program operates and how it correlates to IAAO education. Also included will be statistics relating to the new hires, lessons learned in training new appraisers who come from all walks of life. What you should look for in finding trainers for your department. And some fun stories and anecdotes, with a brief question and answer period as time allows.
