Brief Session Description

When analyzing value where location is an influential factor, the spatial dimension of the data plays a crucial role. We discuss two GIS models that are known in mass appraisal: Spatial Dependence Regressions (SLM/SEM/SARMA) and Geographically Weighted Regression Models (GWR). We will discuss the process of building these models beginning with exploratory data analysis for spatial effects, diagnostic tests for model calibration, model specification, and tests of fit using free and open-source tools.
