Registers Iceland has collected residential rental data from notarized contracts since 2011. This presentation will explain the collection methodology as well as present a first rental market AVM with comparisons between rental and sales models. Particular focus will be given to how significant variables differ between these models and how the effect of location differs, reflecting the differences in choices made by those who rent compared to those who buy.
