Brief Session Description

This session showcases contestants in the IAAO Map-a-Thon. IAAO Research Department staff, Paul Bidanset and Margie Cusack, will begin the session by discussing how GIS and maps can be used to help assessors achieve valuations that are more fair, equitable, and defensible, as well as promote office efficiency.

Using an open-data made available to all contestants, each presenter will showcase their map and how it can be used to overcome common hurdles in an assessor's office.

Attendees will have the opportunity to vote during the conference with a winner receiving an award at the Closing Banquet.
